| partners | | A very enjoyable trip to Scorpion Arch! Enjoyed sleuthing for details earlier in order to make it out there! 
Road conditions were for the most part great. One somewhat washed out section, but it wasn't too bad. The Forerunner made it, no problem. We were going to drive to within the last half mile, but decided we wanted to be outside walking more than we wanted to be inside the car driving, so we parked pretty close to the main road and headed off.
We didn't see the register anywhere, but we did see the marriage stone.
The arch itself is splendid, and the surrounding views are fantastic! You can see the arch as soon as you reach the saddle after the 4wd road ends. There are any number of ways to walk down.
I was hoping to see nobody, but we saw 2 groups. 2 people that came in a side by side all the way (until at the very end, the road is unusable), and 3 people that parked right off the main road and walked on the roads.
Nice to visit the arch!  |
