| no partners | | Another lazy day of activity moderation hiking.
I started from the Coon Bluff Road/Bush Highway intersection and began by heading SW to see if the deer I scared up a few days ago were still around... they weren't.
Next I went up the hill and back NE, crossed Coon Bluff Road and headed for the hill next to Bush Highway, which entailed crossing through a barbed wire fence on each side of Coon Bluff Rd.
Climbed the hill, back down and east across Bush, along the highway until turning in at the Scorpion Trail TH, up the hill, back down to Scorpion following it until turning onto Scorpion Alley and finally following a wild horse trail back to the start.
Just went over 550 miles with these boots... almost time for retirement. They are already the most economical hiking boots I've ever owned at roughly nine cents per mile.
Hmmmm... if I use them only on flat/easy trails from now on, I wonder, can I get 600 miles out of them? |
