I had Presidents Day off from work, weather was perfect, and I wanted to get outside again before the week started. Started from Pima Canyon TH without much of a plan...we headed up Marcos de Niza and then decided to try hiking off-trail through Pima Canyon to see some of the petroglyphs, then get back on the trail near Hidden Valley Tunnel.

The off-trail was nice--I'd never been through the canyon before and got to see some of the graffiti panels that had a few petroglyphs sprinkled in. That also got us away from the crowds, other than a few guys bouldering down in the canyon. We continued through Hidden Valley and looped back to the trailhead via Mormon Loop/Javelina/Ridgeline. Short hike, but nice to get out and see a different part of SoMo.
