Wake 3:15, out 5, meet 5:15.1st TH 6, start 7. Cruised through the 1st mile. The next 3 were brutal. Felt like we were on a summit when we obtained the ridge. While far from easy, it does mellow out some from there.

Regardless, between the many ups and downs, RF & slippery surfaces, this outing remains difficult throughout. We added a minor peak with some fantastic views. When we finally spotted the Flat Iron dome, I knew it was mostly downhill from there.

However, since we parked further out than the park, we had to continue beyond. I wanted to keep it basic but was outvoted. Epic adventure that had been on my list for 6 years! Plz note, I consumed over 5 liters during this outing. A 1st for me. That pack was painful!
