This was my first time to Hidden Valley via San Gabriel. Nice morning workout and nice to go into Hidden Valley from a different route. Last month on the Bajada trail There were hundreds of Grasshoppers and today it was hundreds of these black and red critters. Took a break in Hidden Valley and watched the birds chase each other around then headed back down. Nice hike.
