| partners | | We did this trail as a loop with Bull Basin and Pumpkin Trails. BBScout,Bob and I started at 5:30 and headed up Kendrick. This trail had very few rocks and was the easiest of the three. We saw Elk a few times on the hike up and getting to hear them bugle made this section even better. We took a break at the Cabin, stashed some drinks and headed down Bull Basin. All the downed trees were cleared for now except one. There is a little water down towards the bottom. There was a fire burning off to the west of the connector trail. Going up Pumpkin seemed as hard this time as last. I got a couple cramps on this one but made it up to the tower eventually. Great Views! The tower guys were switching out and the one leaving was going down Bull Basin to get a closer look at the fire. Bob waited for Bobbi and I at the tower. We took another break there and headed back to the cabin to get our stashed drinks. The cramps were gone and it was all downhill from there. Kendrick seemed longer on the way down. Maybe because no Elk to listen to. Bob did whistle for us. The clouds were starting to roll in and it began to sprinkle as we finished. Great hike and Great company. Thanks to Bob and Bobbi for the company! |
