| partners | | With my brother in tow, Kat and I headed up to Massacre Falls hoping to see some water after yesterday's rain. It was a glorious day for a hike; great weather and very picturesque with the puffy clouds scattered about.
The trail was pretty easy to follow until you got to the area after you cross the drainage on the east. From there, rock cairns could be spotted in many different areas. We more or less took a path and headed up and back down into the drainage. We seemed to have lost the trail when we made our way out of the drainage. Anyway, there was no water from the falls.
As we headed back, because there were rock cairns everywhere, all three of us took different paths down in the second section and all eventually ended up on the same trail.
There were various flowers and cactus in bloom. The lizards also finally came out to play as well. All in all a fabulous day! One note though, that road getting to the trailhead is ROUGH; passable but rough. Thanks Kat for drivin'. |

Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled. |
