A few Arizonans made their way up to Idaho. We didn’t get started until around 1530, but that was about perfect since most of the rain had passed. Cool, cloudy, and breezy. Steady uphill to the campsite, where we enjoyed the views to the west, then a nice hike through the talus up to the summit.

Windy up top, but good views in all directions. We opted to drop off the south side of the summit to make a short loop around the top. This adds half a mile and a couple hundred feet of aeg, but I like this little addition. Then it’s an easy descent back to the trailhead. Saw a few other hikers. Fun to hike up here with Kelly and Bruce.
