| no partners | | Cool, cloudy, and breezy. Got started from Nettleton Gulch a little after 0900. Made a slight variation on my usual workout hike—added East Canfield and came down a trail slightly farther to the east to widen the loop. Some light drizzle in the final couple of miles. The junction of trail 8, 9, and A at “Penn Station” is always slightly confusing and poorly marked, but I mostly remembered which way to go. Saw three bikers, and nobody else. There are dozens, if not hundreds, of hike variations you could create in this trail system. It’s not super exciting, but is enjoyable hiking, and right next to town. Some puddles and mud from last night’s rain, but easy to avoid. |
