Took Sixshooter up then Ferndell over to Pinal Peak complex. Down Sixshooter. Almost got stomped by an angry cow I was trying to "shoo" off of the road on top. I forgot how steep Icehouse is. Saw a lot of cows on Sixshooter and on top. Also saw 2 nice stag deer on Ferndell just before seeing a 3 does a few hundred yards later.
I didn't see another soul all day. I'm loving the spring water from Ferndell Spring.
The bigtooth maples were red, the aspens were gold, and the Gambel oaks are getting there. Another great day in the Pinals!
