Preston, my dad and I went for a fall color extravaganza on the Icehouse Canyon and Sixshooter trails (with a sidetrip to Signal Peak). This was my first trip to the Pinals and I must say I was quite impressed. Nice trails, good tough hiking and a wonderful forest is always a winning combo in my book. For this particular time of year, these trails are a 5 in my book!

We saw way more cows (several) than hikers (one).

The weather was perfect and the maples were at times overwhelming. What a spectacular hike.
