An easy 20 miles if there is such a thing. The weather was nice and cool, the trail mostly clear of rocks and the grade was slight. Hiking through the pines was nice change.
We made good time on the hike out and started back about 12pm. I decided to see if I could make the return by 3pm and made it at 2:59pm. It's fun to stretch the legs once in a while.
Chris and Andy weren't far behind and we made it back to town before dark. There were some elk along the way by they didn't stay around. We only saw one biker and one hiker the entire day.
