Denny wanted to finish up the Lost Goldmine trail and I was in. I noticed on satellite view that houses occupy the old trail end so we knew an reroute would be likely. The gate with no the trespassing sign is by an empty lot about 150 feet from the road. I'm sure there will be a house there soon enough.
The trail is rocky and zig zags through the saguaros but the grade is easy. Cloudview road had lots of traffic. We think mostly from construction workers. We started early and finished before the heat. Nice to get a little hike in and probably retire this section that will be housing soon.
