| no partners | | This was a hike in the Thunderbird Conservation Park. My reason for going out there was to hike up to Thunderbird Peak, aka Peak 1862, which is the highest of the 3 Thunderbird Peaks in the park. It is also the high point of the city of Glendale.
From the trailhead, I did an out-and-back hike to Thunderbird Peak. Then when I got back to the TH I did a CCW loop which took me up to Thunderbird West, aka Peak 1682.
This was my first time to be in this particular park. I thought that it was a nice trail system, and if I lived closer I would likely hike there some.
Since I was out in the West Valley, after the hike I visited the high points of the cities of Youngtown, El Mirage, Litchfield Park, and Tolleson. |
