Great holiday weekend daytrip and hike. Went to Vista Viewpoint. Didn't see many people going up, but tons on the way down. No wildlife at all, strange.
Completed the short Quartz Ridge loop using 8A, 8B, 200, and 202. Distance and feet gained are estimates. Saw a lot of people hiking an unmarked trail over first ridge to trail 200. Will try next time. Best weather for a May hike ever!
Completed with best frined and his dad. Great hike, very difficult sections before Baldy Saddle. Wind was crazy strong. Views amazing. Went up Super Trail to first saddle and then stayed on Old Baldy up and down.
Had a great time with daughter on this late spring hike. Started at the 104th St TH by the school. Bunnies were everywhere, saw probably twenty. The quartz quarry is really cool.
Went to Elephant Mt. saddle and returned back the same way on Tortuga Trail. Did not like the wash part of the hike. Really want to see ruins on top, will have to wait for guided hike.
Completed annual Grand Canyon hike with new hiking partner. Beautiful hike. Stone work out of this world. Could not find cave enterance, but still one of the best hikes in GC. First time it's rained on me in the GC.
Pre-Grand Canyon hike. They changed the trail. It's now at least a half mile longer and an extra couple hundred feet in gain due to lower trail head. Great views. Ladybugs hanging out on top cool. Ranger station was open.
