We lucked out finding parking easily this day! This is a very popular hike in the area, and it was crowded. That said, we still had a marvelous time on the trail, our hiking poles made it a lot easier to say upright as we made our way across icy snowbanks that still covered much of the trail. Early on we saw a huge expanse of glacier lilies! We were treated to some fine wildlife along the way as well - goats and sheep posed and went about their business. We dawdled a bit at the overlook, still icy down at the lake and the views were magnificent. We made our way back, again distracted by the views and more lily fields |
