| no partners | | The weather rapidly went from pleasant to hot so we camped out the near the trailhead the night before and were on trail by 5a since we planned an out and back via Hurricane Wash. Temps were going to be close to 100 coming out. The whole hike was beautiful. We made it up to Jacob Hamlin Arch, hung out taking in the magical views, and then headed out to beat the heat. If I didn’t have a friend with me who was deathly afraid of heights, I would’ve opted for one of the other routes in and out to avoid the death march out in the heat in a wash of gravel and deep sand  |
