It had been about five years since I had done this hike. I didn't recall it being too stressful so I thought it would make for a good hike with the old man. We were doing pretty good until we got to First Water Creek. Boulder hopping was pretty tough on my dad's knees so I don't think we'll be doing this one again anytime soon.

As a side note, we did get passed by a SAR member shortly after starting the hike. Also, there was a yellow SAR Cherokee in the parking lot when we returned. We also saw what appeared to be a red and white helicopter flying closely overhead near the end of our hike.
