This was a trip down the Horse Crossing trail, along East Clear Creek to Kinder Crossing. We had ourselves a wonderful time. We hit the trail around 9am on a beautiful Saturday morning. There were deep blue skies, lush green trees and grasses, pretty flowers, towering canyon walls, cold water to wade in and a reminder of the circle of life as we came upon an elk carcass. The pool at Kinder Crossing provided an invigorating dip before heading up the steep and rocky trail back out. I am glad that I was with someone who knew the way as the trail along the creek at times required a little imagination to find. Also pants are a good thing to be wearing wile hiking along the creek. |
