| no partners | | Made it in to a good campsite Friday night, just down the road a bit from Kinder Crossing Trail on the east side. There's a pretty cool campsite right at the trailhead, but I chose one a bit further back down the road.
Dropped down the trail Saturday morning and headed downstream. There are numerous campsites along the creek as you might expect. I chose a nice one with a huge deep hole, downstream about a mile below Horse Crossing trail. I saw a few people on Saturday that came down Horse Crossing, and two set up camp about a 1/2 mile downstream from me, at the site with the cobblestone pathway.
Hiking out Sunday was uneventful and I saw no one at all. The place was surprisingly empty given the heat and great swimming and fishing spots along this creek.
I think further exploration downstream, possibly to Leonard Canyon is in order for a future trip. |
