It was a great day on a great trail, my first time hiking more than a mile on the Highline. Saw endless beautiful country along the way, a few beehives that I refrained from throwing rocks at, refreshingly cool creeks, giant coniferous trees, and great views of some of my most favorite country. Only saw one other hiker on the trail, but did hear some sort of walrus/Wilford Brimley creature braying at the Mail Creek Ranch.
We concluded our day with a hike on old favorite Colonel Devin and visited General Springs Cabin.
After dropping Nick off at his truck, I returned to Payson for dinner at Beeline Cafe and a visit with friends and family.
A perfect and memorable day. Thanks Nick! |
