wanted something around two hours and 1500 aeg today
this favorite was close enough
i like to hike in the white tanks two or three times a year even though you have to pay $6.00
cool and quiet in the canyons
still have my eye on willow and mesquite canyons, but not on a weekend, and want my gps along
saw the sign about not hiking off trail :x
usually go clockwise on the loop part, but today went counterclockwise
think i like that better as you go up the rocky part on willow and ford, then a nice cruise down mostly good trail on mesquite
shortly after the ford/mesquite intersection, mesquite follows a ridge for a few hundred yards, providing some great views to the east
encountered:
lizards, birds and one snake
four mountain bikers, four dogs and less than a dozen hikers
temps at luke ranged from 59 to 73 during this time frame
can't beat that
took the time to check out the spring area today
