| no partners | | I arrived at the trailhead early this morning hoping to catch a good sunrise but it was a lot less than great. The creek's flowing and the sound of the rushing water takes precedence of the moment, so I grabbed my gear and hit the trail to the saddle, I'll clean up the parking lot when I get back
At the first crossing, the pool is full and providing a nice reflection of the sun hitting the cliffs far above the dark canyon. After a couple shots, it's back to the trail and only a couple of hikers talking loudly somewhere behind me. The early morning sun lights up the rocks along the Cave Trail giving the scene a brilliant golden hue, couple more shots
At several spots along the trail, I can hear the rushing water and soon I'm at the saddle looking at Weavers Needle soaking up the morning sun. There's only two guys sharing this view with me and one of them asked me if there's a trail out to that tree on the point. I told him that I was heading that way and they could tag along.
I picked up a few items of litter (no park bench this time) and headed back to the saddle where several people had now gathered, and it's only 1030. I cleaned up some more litter packed it in my backpack and hit the trail back to the TH. When I got back, the parking lot was almost full so I removed my gear and finished with my cleanup duties.
Gotta love it, Trail Head Volunteer service has some good points |
