| no partners | | After our failed attempt of the Mahana Ridge Trail, Jared and I drove East along a long, crazy one-lane road right along a cliff edge to the Waihe'e Ridge Trail. There was a gate near the road with a sign on it saying that it would be locked at 7pm, so we parked there are walked the rest of the way to the official trailhead.
The hike started off on a paved trail heading up through some fields with cows before veering off into some woods. The woods eventually gave way to the actual ridge portion of the hike, on which we saw several waterfalls. We reached the summit just in time for sunset, and hiked back down with flashlights.  |
