It was Jared's last day of leave after almost 2 weeks in Wisconsin (beer, brats, and cheese), so we figured a hike was definitely in order!

We decided to kill two birds with one stone and take some "yay, we're engaged!" photos at the top, which turned out to be a disaster (I'd forgotten how windy it is up there)! After about 20 minutes of struggling to control my hair and dress, and battling the self-timer on a camera that kept blowing over and threatening to fall off the edge, we gave up. We couldn't even see the photos we had taken because of the glare on the screen. Epic fail.

The hike back down turned into a run, as we were both worried about getting Jared to the airport on time (we did)!

All-in-all, it was an excellent "holiday calories" burner, and a funny experience! Once I got home, I realized that some of the photos had actually turned out alright! :]
