| no partners | | Hopped down SK on my way to loiter at Phantom for the day, heard rumor of ruins around the Ranch so after stopping in at the Canteen to say hi (and inadvertently snag myself a place to stay for the night! whoo!)I headed back to the Silver Bridge and headed off trail for a quick ten minute jaunt.
Turns out what I was looking for was not in the cards for the day, I'll have to find a hiking buddy for that trek sometime soon.
So I turned back and joined the masses in the employee housing for 3 bottles of whiskey and some live music. Those Ranchers know how to live it up just like any other group of fun people!
Around 10pm I left the bunkhouse by moonlight and pranced out to do the infamous "Bridge to Bridge Loop"  
I walked, solo, by moonlight across Black Bridge up to the River Trail and across to Silver Bridge and made a quick stop at Bright Angel Campground to say hi to a guide friend of mine then back to the bunkhouse, up the ladder to the loft and sleep, sleep, sleep! |
