Found a "Grave Marker" I'd read about somewhere...
Pirl A. Ward
1879-1934.
From the website I read about it:
"Some of the few who have discovered this ominous stone in the middle of the parking lot for Hopi House, El Tovar, and Verkamps also suggest that the area is haunted by a figure in a black cape roaming outside El Tovar."
Pirl Ward was actually a Contractor who helped build El Tovar, when he passed away in 1934 they put the Marker there as a Memorial for his work on the infamous building!
Also, it snowed ever so slightly on my ride home, love this plaaaace!!! |
