I decided to take the quickest way in which was from the Dutchman trail up Bull Pass then connecting back to the Dutchman again. The cloudy day and nice breeze made it an easy and comfortable walk. The sycamores had amazing colors all over the spring area. I decided to bring the hammock this time and found several prime spots around the spring. The water off the spring was flowing at about .5L per minute off the pipe. At night we had a nice full moon and very fast moving clouds that kept the cold away for most of the night. At about an hour before dawn after the moon set, the temperatures seemed to take a quick dive and someone mentioned a low of around 41 degrees. On our hike out Te-wa, Kate and I decided to take the Cavalry trail and join up with Boulder Canyon and climb up to Battleship Mountain. After our descent we continued heading out via Second Water trail and finished off the loop. It was great seeing some more new faces. What a joy it is to be in the desert this time of the year! The Supes never get old! |
