On a previous hike i remember seeing Aylor's Arch in the distance and now that its Superstitions season again i didn't hesitate to go and check that hike off the list. The original route suggest to go via the Dutchman trail but i find Black Mesa way more interesting, once we got to the junction of Black Mesa and Dutchmans trail it was easy to see where we had to head. Going up the ravine was little off trail adventure but didn't take us long to make it up the lightly used route. Once we made it up to the summit of Palomino mtn we signed in the register, surprisingly no one had been there since May 25. We continued our way up the narrow ridge, its really cool if one doesn't have fear of heights. I reached the end of the line just before the arch. Tried to find a way to see it from below but it seemed like a no go from above the arch. We made our way pretty quickly down the ravine and headed back out via the Dutchman trail.
