| no partners | | Good day for a hike in the petroglyphs. It was fairly cloudy, which made for good viewing. Temperatures were pleasant and not a soul to be seen, other than some ravens and a couple of tarantulas. Last time, I noticed that the majority of petroglyphs are oriented so as to be seen while moving up-canyon. So we decided to take Trail 100 up. Good choice - we saw lots of great panels, many I had not noticed before. 
A little jaunt up, then back, Trail 300, and finally returned on Trail 200.
Short, but enjoyable day. Plenty to explore.
After an adventurous drive that tested the limits of our vehicle's capabilities to reach the trail head, we discovered there is a much easier (albeit temporary) driving route through an un-built subdivision. |
