Did solo up and back from lower TH. At top end, crossed a fairly busy highway east of Dobbins Overlook, went uphill 100 yards, had lunch and came back down. No interest in going on up to the National and completing Holbert. Rough trail. Very rocky. And you can find trails with better views. Plus you're usually looking down at your feet, rock-hopping. Saw 10 others: 6 as I was coming up, 4 on the descent. Mostly young kids. Much busier of course than under-hiked Geronimo, the better trail to the east. Given a choice between the two, I'd take Geronimo every time. No destination worth seeing at the high end of Holbert, unless you take the side trail up to Dobbins. Suspect the trail's real attraction is waterfalls, but of course nothing happening now in dry weather.
