I saw another VERY large and VERY aggressive rattlesnake 
The snake was about 2 feet out on the trail when I saw it. As I approached, the snake instead of back off the trail and hiding, came out to the middle of the trail and postured for a fight. So I took a few picture and gave him a WIDE berth. I was about 100 yard down the trail and he was still in a fighting stance 
Then came across a gopher snake that was about 5 feet long. All around excellent day
