| no partners | | I had to do this trail, since Bradshaw has been charming a lot of good-sized serpents on this ventures. I first tried mountain biking Go John, which was a serious mistake. Go John is an awful mountain biking trail. All the sharp rocks, narrow passages, and divets would make the devil repent if he was forced to ride it. I was surprised I did not get a flat or break something.
Anyway, I ditched the bike and decided to walk it. I found better maintained trails to bike next time, but I wanted to find some snakes. Everyone was friendly on the trail, so I did not have to cuss anybody out, even though I did anyway just so I could keep in practice (just kidding).
I only found one d-back. It was not too large, about 2ft, but it was good enough. People walks right by it, but I spotted it. I also spotted a shy tortoise that a bike just rode by, seemingly not noticing it. I guess some people don't care about seeing wildlife or don't notice. Besides the lizards, I did not see much else. It seems to be a good area for wildlife. I think if I spent more time there, I could find more critters. The only thing that I did not like about this area is that there're too many horses. |
