Did the Pass Mountain Loop today doing some additional testing on the Garmin Fenix. I set the interval mode to "time" and put it at 12 second intervals. This in effect should increase the battery life so I wanted to see what it did to distance and elevation. Both came in shorter than my previous recording on 1/22/2014 in normal mode.

Todays hike had a total of 613 points while the previous one in normal mode had 941. The device was sitting at 91% battery life remaining after the 2 hour hike.

Highlight of the experiment was seeing a desert tortoise on the trail. I stopped and asked if he knew Denny. He said they are second cousins once removed. :-k
