The quest to traverse the entire Sierra Estrella Ridgeline continues. Today I did the southern tip to about 6 miles in. All that remains is from Montezuma Peak to the point where I turned and exited today.

I made my way up and onto the range and was a solid mile and a half in before I saw any evidence of previous travel. Then there was a can, then an old antenna site, then a 50 caliber shell casing, then a water pipe. The list goes on. The highlight was the Indian pottery and the petroglyphs.

It was a windy one up there and it was rugged but a bit more mild than the higher sections. As with the other parts of the range it was a like going through a time warp. I love it!
