| partners | | | Late afternoon hike with Tim. I'm still in love with the new re-route of the trail, such and ridiculously good hike through the aspen. Really windy at the meadow, but beautiful as always. I don't think I'd been to the meadow since before the Schultz Fire, so probably fall of 2009. Glad to get back there after a five year absence, and hoping to go back soon when its not windy and really enjoy the view. The hike back through the aspen groves was even better on the way back as it got into the late light, and I ended up taking a ton of photos. Took a stroll through Lockett Meadow at the end, nice and maybe even a bit surprised to see water in Lockett Meadow Tank after the dry winter. Great afternoon, already can't wait to go back...maybe I'll even get a cirque hike or some peak bagging from Inner Basin this year. |

Lots of lupine, some yellow columbine, sprinkles hairy fleabane, some little yellow things, even saw a paintbrush |
