Our kids went wild for the process - fascinated by a bird eating a fish. Fascinated by the dive-bombing mother swooping into the lake. And then trying not to fall backwards as they craned their necks to keep looking up. I was in a panic as my camera's zoom could not get enough detail - so I put my camera up to the binoculars and got some grainy stuff - but better than nothing!
A very fun kick-off to our White Mountain family vacation. We rented a cabin in Greer at 8,700 feet elevation not far from Greer Lodge. Perfect temperature and I love the shortness of breath and tachycardia of high elevation. Kids love seeing trees and green and water everywhere. Rain and hail - lakes and rivers. |
