Back to Horton Creek for a summertime hike. Brought my sister with me this time who had never been here. There were a lot more people on the trail than the last time I was here in April, but not enough to ruin the experience. It was nice and cool near the water and in the shade, but it was still very toasty in the sun, and slightly humid. It was apparently in the low 80s but it felt like 90+ in the sun.

There were about 15-20 people at the spring when we got there, some of them just sitting down in folding chairs in the primo spots and blocking the path to the spring. :x We were still able to get up to the spring and enjoy it for a few minutes. It was a little too rowdy there for our liking, so we headed back. On the way back there was a big storm rolling in, with some huge thunder. We also found some blackberries on the way back and ate a few of them. Some of them weren't ripe and they were pretty tart, but we got a few good juicy ones. :) The cloud cover we were hoping for all day came right when we got back to the parking lot. :( Oh well, it was still a great hike!
