After spending the Night in Sedona and Shooting a very quick Sunrise, it was time to meet Wade and Mary Jo for the first time, at the Bear Mountain TH... :)

I arrived early with the thought of doing a little Birding before they got there, but they arrived early too, so we exchanged Greetings, got the Packs together and away we went...I had psyched myself up for this Trek, knowing it was a lot of Elevation in a short distance, so looking up at our Destination in the far Distance, I was ready for a Workout... I did immediately take up the rear though, as I had a feeling that these two were going to outhike me, and they did... I had quite a few Sucking Wind Stops, Wade had a few and Mary Jo was just on a Mission... :wlift: Seemed like it took us awhile to hit the top of a somewhat False Peak and realized that topping out there was only about the halfway point. :D After a small Break before the Final Push to the Top, Wade and Mary Jo made the Top, with me not too far behind... :D

It was worth the Work...Great Views all around...It was also nice that since it was a Weekday, we pretty much had it all to ourselves most of the Time...Had a Lunch Break up there and just enjoyed it for awhile before heading back down...

Took a few Photos on the Way up, taking advantage of having to stop for Air to do it... This was a great Hike for Photography, not only due to the non-stop Views all the way up, but also because the Sun was behind us all day...I didn't spend much time with Photos on the way up simply because I was too busy working on the Hike, but took some time on the way down to get a few more... :D

Made great time going down, running into quite a few people making their way up. And before we knew it, we were down to the Flats and back to the TH...Wade, Mary Jo and I parted ways there, they to a Hot Shower and a Beer and me to find a Spot for a possible Sunset before heading Home...

Wade, you know how to pick them...What a Great Hike! A Workout with non-stop Views and two new Friends! It just doesn't get any better than that... : app : Thanks for the Invite Wade and it was truly a pleasure to finally meet both you and Mary Jo! :D
