| no partners | | I met up with old friends from Springerville to visit the wonderful petroglyph panels off Christmas Tree Pass Road, which is to the northwest of Laughlin, Nevada. An easy hike, with loads of petroglyphs. Have to say, the canyon bears more exploring. I met a backpacker hiking out, and he indicated there is water up the canyon, and that it makes for a fine overnighter. No permits are needed as far as I could tell from the signs at the trailhead.
My friends and I are long time members of the Arizona Archaeological Society's Little Colorado River Chapter, based in Springerville, Arizona. |
