My daughter's best friend and our former next door neighbor escaped Rhode Island for a week of "hiking in the sun". This was a good start but convinced her this might be enough hiking (the sun was still OK).

Highlight was when mom, bringing up the rear, yelled "snake", after we'd all stepped over one sleeping under a brittlebush in the middle of the trail. He would not wake up...seemed busy digesting.
