A short out and off trail loop back sort of hike for a change. Wanted to park near Pinchot cabin but a late arrival Friday night and a prescribed burn in the area had 95 closed just past the 139 turnoff. Picked an easy spot off 139 near U-Bar instead. Headed out Saturday morning and followed the U-Bar to Dane Canyon. Found a small group camped there. Continued north off trail following Dane canyon and creek. The game trails were sparse and it was easier to boulder hop really since Dane was dry for some distance. Eventually Dane has some dirty pools and small clear flowing spots. Antler found a half mile before the confluence into Barbershop. Once Dane hits Barbershop there is much more water. A short break and off and upstream into Barbershop canyon back to the U-Bar. Barbershop had water the whole way and some really nice pools. Decent campsite where U-Bar crosses Barbershop.
