It's pretty wet too, but the creek is fine. There is a wooden bridge about a mile in. Anyone know when that was done? Was here in August but didn't see it then. Passed several good campsites, all empty on my way of one of my favorites about 2 miles in on the creeks east side. No tent, only a tarp for this trip. Hiked back down to where the creek goes underground and fished my way back to camp in the afternoon. Caught several small browns on bead heads. Quiet night except for youths with flashlights running up and down the trail, they may have been looking for something... Hiked out Sunday and caught a few stocker rainbows by the bridge and found some more blackberries as well. Backpack into epic creek side campsites, catch wild brown trout, score ripe blackberries, and take a couple of rainbows home for dinner. This area never disappoints. |
