| no partners | | | This wasn't a typical hike, per se, but there was enough walking in the woods that it counts as a kiddie hike. I started my HAZTRKS app as soon as we were done with the tour inside, and hiked as much of the surrounding trails that were open that day. Interesting site, with a lot of historical value. Nice to be surrounded by the green vegetation and running water everywhere. The building itself does not come across as very environmentally sustainable. The concrete used looks to be constantly in a state of falling apart and being repaired. The humidity and running water do not help it. Very humid and muggy inside, especially on the upper floors. The small amount of mileage was enough to add to my short hike later that day to be respectable. |
