| no partners | | | After Fallingwater, we visited some relatives who have a camper close by in Mountain Pines RV Resort. Behind the resort is a sort of a bicycle trail that heads southwest back towards towards Fallingwater and meets up with a nearby nature area, which has more trails. I took this trail from the bridge at the back of the resort, which crosses a stream, hiked out just over 2 miles, and headed back. The trail starts out as more of jeep road, but after a mile, it does narrow to a normal trail. Lots of views of private property along the way, as well as the streams which parallels it. I forgot to take my hat, but with all the shade, I didn't even get the slightest bit sunburt. Cooler temps, but the humidity kind of neutralized that advantage. |
