This triplog should have been titled Bear Cyn Lake Kayak. As we approached the Rim Road turnoff from 260, we started catching some heavy rain and lightning. We turned onto Rim Road to find a long line of cars, trucks, trailers all trying to get on the road home. It looked like a concert had just let out.

The rain continued to fall as we reached Bear Cyn Lake. The four of us decided to nap in the Tahoe and wait out the rain. That never happened. We burned a good hour or so, then decided to move on. Maybe it wasn't raining somewhere else. Things looked brighter to the west, so we went west. Decided to try Knoll Lake. I had never even been there before. Got to Knoll and no rain. Other kayakers, boaters, were soaked and had stories to tell of heavy rain and thunder. We had arrived just in time.

A layer of fog was rolling across parts of the lake and the water was like glass.

We paddled around the Knoll, enjoyed the views and enjoyed the experience. Nature takes on a whole new look after the rain.

Wrapped up the day at Macky's Grill and ate on the patio.
