On the trail at 5:20am. Came across a coiled up rattler on the trail shortly after the second creek crossing. Hustled across Garden Valley and over to the Hackberry Spring area. Finished up the loop back at First Water TH at 6:25. On the drive out a couple of deer ran out in front of me. Both young bucks. Nice little surprise anytime I see deer out here in the desert.
