I'm not sure why but it works. A trip back to the cave on the mountain side was first up. After climbing some not so stable rock up to the opening...it was a dud. The down climb wasn't going to happen so on to the summit. There was fire up on Bluff Spring Mountain since I was last up there and a lot of the brush/century plants burned but the Ocotillo and cactus were better off. The hike across the way to the Ely-Anderson trail was easy going. A quick stop at the pharaoh I saw one whited-tailed deer on top but no other fuana on the trip. It was warm by 10:30a at the finish but overall a nice hike.
