Started out hiking AZT#17 southbound then since Tracey had never been 'round-the-mountain' we decided to veer off and hike the circumference CCW.

At about the 6-mile point we heard some rustling (like a snake-in-the-grass) then heard a "Howdy" that sounded like kingsnake. So I responded "Kingsnake?" and sure enough it was Preston, hiking CW.

It appears we fared better than Preston... no blood shed by either of us.
