| no partners | | Took the family over to Usery Park to get a quick few miles in before the Steelers played the night game. The weather is nice enough these days that we can stay very close to home in the desert in order to hike in a comfortable temperature. From the horse staging area, we hiked out a mile and a half on the Pass Mt. Trail to the east, turned back, and then did a loop of the Cat Peaks, Cat Peaks Pass, and Blevins Trails. We hiked up Cat Peaks Pass twice just to get some extra mileage in. My wife headed back on the Pass Mt. Trail while I took the kids on the extra part of the hike because her hip has been bothering her. Natasha's ankle was starting to hurt her around the fifth mile, but she made it through ok and wasn't sore later on. Didn't see much in the way of wildlife. |
